The treatment in detail
Oily skin produces more sebum than it clears. Pores close, bacteria settle in, inflammation follows. The protocol works on all three: it clears, it regulates, it calms.
Forty-five minutes: cleansing, exfoliation, comedone extraction, a mattifying mask and a finishing fluid. The session does not try to dry the skin out, which would make it produce more sebum, but to rebalance production.
It is for teenagers and adults alike: oily skin does not sort itself out with age, and acne appearing at thirty is no rarer than at sixteen.
On widespread inflammatory or cystic acne, the salon is not the right first stop: a dermatologist is.
You can expect…
Clear skin, a less shiny complexion, cleared pores.
On skin that produces a lot, rhythm matters more than intensity: one session every three to four weeks changes more than a strong treatment twice a year.
Frequently asked questions
From what age?
There is no minimum age, but parental consent is asked for a minor. The treatment is the same for an adult with oily skin.
Do extractions leave marks?
An hour of redness, no more, when the extraction is done at the right moment. An inflamed spot is not extracted, it is left alone.
Should I see a dermatologist?
Yes, if the acne is widespread, painful or cystic. An aesthetic treatment supports dermatological care, it does not replace it.
Will it dry my skin out?
No, deliberately: dried-out skin produces more sebum in response. The protocol regulates rather than strips.
Contraindications
- Widespread inflammatory or cystic acne, to be seen by a dermatologist first
- Isotretinoin treatment ongoing or stopped less than six months ago
- Recent cut, wound or sunburn
- Active cold sore outbreak
