The treatment in detail

A spot is an area where skin has made too much pigment, and it stays as long as the cause stays. Sun, hormones, an old inflammation: the session softens its intensity, it does not change the cause.

One hour, six steps. The lead active is the organic white nettle extract patented by Sothys, alongside ferulic acid, niacinamide and stabilised vitamin C. The protocol combines massage and contact time; it works on the spot and on the complexion around it at once.

It is taken as a course, outside sun exposure periods, and it only holds if sunscreen follows. A course done in March and dropped in June leaves nothing behind.

On a deep or wide spot, the skin analysis may point towards microneedling or a peel, alone or alternating with this treatment.

You can expect…

A more even complexion and a spot that contrasts less with the skin around it.

The result is judged after the course, not after one session, and is kept with sunscreen. That is the least spectacular and most decisive part.

Frequently asked questions

Does a spot disappear completely?

Rarely. It fades and blends into the complexion. A spot that comes back every summer is not a failure of the treatment, it is sun protection that was missing.

When should the course be done?

Between October and March ideally. A course run in high summer undoes itself as it goes.

What about melasma?

It calls for patience and strict protection. The course waits until breastfeeding is over, and the skin analysis sets expectations before starting.

Can it be combined with microneedling?

Yes, alternating, in different weeks. The skin analysis builds the schedule.

Contraindications
  • Reactive skin or rosacea
  • Sun exposure or a tanning session within fifteen days
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding for melasma: the course waits until breastfeeding is over
  • Active cold sore outbreak
  • Cut, wound or sunburn on the area
