The treatment in detail
The principle fits in one sentence: a tiny, controlled injury triggers a repair, and that repair makes collagen and elastin. It is the skin doing the work, not the product.
The pen pierces at a depth chosen area by area, shallower around the eye than on a marked cheek. The open channels also serve as a passage: that is what lets actives get in which, applied at the surface, would stay on top.

Does it hurt?
It stings, especially on the forehead and around the mouth. A numbing cream is applied before the session on sensitive areas.
How long does the skin stay red?
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours, like mild sunburn. Book towards the end of the week if you would rather it did not show at work.
Which protocol should I choose?
The skin analysis decides. Microneedling alone for scars and pores, with radio-frequency for slackening, Carbon V for the jawline, the Dermapen protocols depending on the actives you want.
Does it treat acne scars?
Yes, it is one of its best indications. It takes a course of four to six sessions, and the result is judged two months after the last one.

- Isotretinoin treatment ongoing or stopped less than six months ago
- Clotting disorder or anticoagulant treatment
