Korean treatments

Trained at the Korea Mikwang Beauty Academy, Seoul

The academy

Korea Mikwang Beauty Academy

The Korea Mikwang Beauty Academy is a skincare school recognised by the Korean Ministry of Education. That is where our Korean protocols were learned, on site, in the treatment room.

Birthplace of K-Beauty, South Korea is today a world reference in skincare, cosmetic innovation and beauty technology. From Seoul to Brussels, those are the protocols the team brings back to Etterbeek.

The academy is an official institution, recognised by the Korean Ministry of Education and ISO accredited. It teaches in small groups: systematic theory, then practice on models until the treatment is held from start to finish.

Its director, Kim Hwa Ryong (Vivian Kim), has twenty-five years in the trade. The academy trains therapists from all over the world and awards a diploma together with an ISO certificate.

The course

From diagnosis to protocol

The advanced course takes the Korean craft in the order it is practised, with every step performed by the student from beginning to end on a model.

  1. Skin fundamentals

The difference between medical and beauty skincare, the flow of a Korean session, skin types and diagnosis, products and their use, deep cleansing and its techniques, masks and their functions.

  2. LBK Oxygen Collagen Therapy

The academy glass skin protocol: oxygen peel, balancing oil, collagen therapy and LBK collagen powder. What each step does, and which skins it suits.

  3. Intensive class, then graduation

The academy advanced protocols, worked through in a personalised class until mastered, then the diploma and the ISO certificate.

The signature protocol

LBK Oxygen Collagen Therapy

The treatment gently removes dead skin cells while keeping the skin hydrated, which gives the smooth, light-reflecting look Korea calls glass skin.

The LBK collagen powder applied at the end of the protocol supports collagen production in the skin.

  • Brighter, more even complexion
  • Anti-ageing effect
  • Luminous, glass-like skin
  • Healthy skin, hydration kept

At the institute

What we bring back

BB Glow already carries the flag on our menu. The other protocols are on their way, and everyone on the preview list will see them at the institute before bookings open.

A preview evening

Before these protocols officially launch at the institute, everyone on the preview list is invited to an afterwork in late September. There you will:

  • see the latest K-Beauty trends
  • understand what the protocols learned in Seoul do
  • talk with our team
  • see the treatments joining our menu before anyone else

Leave your address to hear from us when bookings open.
